Occupational Therapy Services
At LST, our highly experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) are dedicated to helping children and young people develop the skills they need to participate as independently as possible in everyday life. We work in partnership with families, schools, and other professionals to support meaningful progress that makes a real difference at home, in education, and in the community.
Using a uniquely client-centred and holistic approach, our OTs tailor assessment and intervention to each child or young person’s individual strengths, challenges, and goals. We support a wide range of needs, including the development of fine and gross motor skills, coordination, handwriting, self-care skills, and emotional regulation. Our team also provides specialist support with Sensory Integration, helping clients to better understand and manage sensory processing differences so they can engage more confidently in daily activities.
For those who need a higher level of support, our Occupational Therapists carry out detailed seating assessments and offer expert guidance on specialist equipment. We work alongside families to recommend home adaptations and environmental adjustments that help create safe, comfortable spaces where children and young people can thrive and gain independence.
Our Occupational Therapy services are available on a private basis and can also be used to fulfil Occupational Therapy provision specified within an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We have extensive experience delivering EHCP outcomes and providing clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations that support long-term planning and progress.
Whether supporting early development, building independence skills, or addressing more complex physical and sensory needs, our OTs are committed to empowering children and young people to reach their full potential and participate fully in the activities that matter most to them.
