Ashleigh is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who studied a Bachelor of Speech Therapy at Australian Catholic University in Melbourne, Australia. Ashleigh has previously had experience working in primary schools, secondary schools and within clinical environments, supporting children and young adults with special needs, autistic individuals and targeting speech and language goals. Since joining LST, Ashleigh has gained further experience working with autistic individuals, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), social communication, aphasia and those with speech and language delay. Ashleigh has attended training in Makaton Level 1 and enjoys integrating this means of communication within her sessions. Ashleigh’s biggest interest areas are targeting speech, language and literacy goals. Ashleigh is a caring therapist and is passionate about supporting children and young adults to flourish as communicators within sessions and their daily lives.
