Speech & Language Therapist – NQP to Highly Specialist
Location: London – predominantly Stratford, with opportunities across our London clinics, schools and community services
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full Time or Part Time | Permanent
Come and find your place in a team where you can grow, contribute and make a difference.
London Speech Therapy (LST) is a well-established, growing independent provider of gold standard Speech & Language Therapy and multidisciplinary services to adults, children and young people.
Founded in 2009 and led by Consultant and Highly Specialist SLTs, we have built a reputation for high-quality, evidence-based and meaningful clinical services across London, the UK and internationally.
We are growing our team and are looking for Speech & Language Therapists at a range of experience levels – from newly qualified therapists through to highly specialist clinicians.
Whether you’re taking your first steps as an SLT, looking to develop your clinical skills, or are an experienced specialist wanting greater autonomy and opportunities to influence services, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
There is no single LST caseload.
Our therapists work across a varied mix of settings and client groups, with opportunities to develop areas of specialist interest alongside a broad clinical caseload.
Depending on your experience and interests, your role may include:
- Assessment and intervention for children, young people and/or adults
- Working across our London clinics, schools, community settings and online
- Supporting children with speech, language, communication and social communication needs
- Working with adults with acquired communication and motor speech difficulties
- Delivering EHCP provision through schools and local authorities
- Working closely with families, teachers and other professionals
- Contributing to multidisciplinary work alongside Psychology and Occupational Therapy colleagues
- Developing your own clinical interests and areas of specialism
- Supporting service development, training and projects as your experience grows
For more experienced clinicians, there are also opportunities to take on supervision, mentoring, leadership and service development responsibilities, depending on your interests and experience.
Wherever you are in your career, we’ll support you to develop.
We know that NQPs, experienced clinicians and highly specialist SLTs need different things from their next role.
Our aim is to give you the right level of challenge, autonomy and support for where you are in your career.
For NQPs and early-career SLTs
You’ll have access to experienced clinicians around you, regular supervision and a supportive environment in which to build your confidence.
You’ll be encouraged to develop your clinical skills, explore areas of interest and gradually take on greater responsibility as your experience grows.
For experienced and specialist SLTs
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a varied and interesting caseload while developing areas of specialist interest, mentoring colleagues and contributing to the development of our services.
For highly specialist clinicians
We’re keen to hear from clinicians who want to bring their expertise to a growing organisation. There are opportunities to develop specialist pathways, support clinical quality and governance, supervise and mentor others, contribute to training and help shape the direction of our services.
We’re interested in what you can bring to LST, not simply the number of years you’ve been qualified.
