Deborah obtained her BSc in Speech Sciences from UCL.

She has worked in early years in the NHS for 7 years, before moving to a mainstream primary school with a language resource base where she supported children and staff for 3 years. She then moved into private practice, assessing children up to the age of 18 and providing tailored advice and reports.

Deborah now works as the Neurodiversity Service Lead for London Speech Therapy and specialises in supporting children with Development Language Disorder (DLD) and autistic children and adolescents, as well as their parents, schools and the wider team. Examples of Deborah’s work include running a DLD together programme for parents of children with DLD and tailored intervention working on functional goals for autistic children either at home, in clinic or at school.

Deborah also offers training for schools on Neurodiversity and Developmental Language Disorder.

Deborah has completed a variety of training, including Shape Coding, Zones of Regulation as well as ADOS-2 and ADIR.

Outside of work Deborah enjoys running and swimming, and spending time with her family.
