We’re Growing! Bringing Expert Speech Therapy Closer to You Across London

We are thrilled to announce a major expansion of our services, opening a brand new clinic in Clapham and additional consulting rooms across the capital.

Since we started London Speech Therapy in 2009, our mission has always been to provide accessible, expert communication support. Now, to help more families and individuals than ever before, we are expanding our network beyond our established Harley Street and East London bases. You can now find us at our new flagship site in Clapham, as well as new spaces in Monument, Old Street, Belgravia, and Marylebone High Street.

Why We Are Expanding

We know that right now, accessing speech and language support can be incredibly difficult. NHS waiting lists are growing, and demand has risen sharply since the pandemic. Current estimates suggest that two million children nationwide are facing challenges with speech and communication.

We believe you shouldn’t have to wait to get the help you or your child needs. By opening these new locations, we are offering an alternative to long waiting times, ensuring you can access timely, specialist assessment and therapy right in your local community.

Emily Kirchin, our Joint Managing Director, explains why this matters so much:

“Across the country, we’re seeing more children starting school without the language skills they need to learn and thrive. While new government initiatives will help identify needs earlier, we know many families are still facing long delays. We believe early intervention is life-changing, and timely access to specialist care really matters.”

A Space for Everyone

Our team has grown to over 20 specialist therapists, and we are proud to offer a safe, welcoming, and playful environment for our clients. Whether we are seeing you in our clinics, at your school, or in your home, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.

Mairead Skinner, Joint Managing Director, adds:

“Expanding into new parts of the city allows us to increase our capacity for everyone. Whether you are a parent concerned about your child’s development, or an adult seeking support with communication, voice, or fluency, we are here to help.”

Supporting Children and Young People

Our new clinics feature space for 1:1 and small groups, stocked with age-appropriate toys and specialist materials for Autism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and SEND needs.

How we help families and schools:

  • Ages 0–25: Comprehensive assessment and therapy.
  • Parent Coaching: Empowering you to support speech and language at home.
  • School Support: We work closely with SENCOs, offering staff training, observations, and detailed reports for schools and nurseries.
  • Bilingual Support: We offer culturally diverse and multilingual therapy options.

Specialist Support for Adults

Communication challenges don’t just affect children. We are seeing an increasing number of adults seeking our help for neurodiversity, career confidence, and medical conditions.

We provide specialist adult therapy for:

  • Neurodiversity: Autism and ADHD support.
  • Neurological Conditions: Aphasia and motor speech disorders.
  • Voice & Fluency: Expert care for stammering and voice disorders.

Speech Clarity: Accent modification and articulation therapy (including lisps).
